Alphabet Inc.'s Google on Wednesday launched the first version of its most advanced artificial intelligence model, Gemini 2.0 Flash.
The new AI model is available in a chat version for users all around the world, and an experimental multimodal version of the tool, with text-to-speech and image generation features, is currently available only for developers.
"If Gemini 1.0 was about organizing and understanding information, Gemini 2.0 is about making it much more useful. I can’t wait to see what this next era brings," Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a statement, adding that "2.0’s advances are underpinned by decade-long investments in our differentiated full-stack approach to AI innovation."
