The 64th annual Grammy Awards show has been postponed until further notice due to the rapid spread of the Omicron coronavirus strain in the United States, organizers announced on Wednesday.
"The health and safety of those in our music community, the live audience, and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce our show remain our top priority... Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on January 31 simply contains too many risks," the Recording Academy and CBS noted.
The Grammy is an annual award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize "outstanding achievement in the music industry" of the US.
