United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his concerns on Monday over the extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, made between Ukraine and Russia.

During a press conference, Guterres shared he is worried Russia might back out of the deal next month. He said that the UN is "working hard in order to make sure that it would be possible to maintain the Black Sea Initiative."

The agreement was previously extended on May 17 and is expected to last until July 18. In the meantime, Russian officials stated that they don't see any prospect of extending the deal further as Moscow's requests have not been taken into account.
