Ukraine's Defence Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, confirmed on Thursday that the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) had arrived in Ukraine.

"HIMARS have arrived to Ukraine. Thank you to my colleague and friend, the Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III for these powerful tools! Summer will be hot for Russian occupiers. And the last one for some of them," the minister said on Twitter.

Earlier, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said that if Ukraine attacks Russian facilities and territory with "these types of weapons," Moscow's "armed forces will have no choice but to act and hit the decision-making centers." The HIMARS pose a significant threat to the Russian defensive lines due to their range.
