Senior Hamas official Basem Naim on Monday accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of "playing dirty games" to "sabotage the deal."
"We will not give him any excuse, but we will try with the mediators to avoid any obstacle," Naim told Al Jazeera, adding that he expects the next round of negotiations, scheduled to begin on the 16th day of the ceasefire, to be "very difficult."
Naim further said that today is "the most important day in the current history of this conflict" because Israel was forced "by the resistance" to allow Palestinians to return to their homes in the northern Gaza Strip. "This is, I think, a very symbolic day," he noted.
