No formal proposal for a "comprehensive" ceasefire in the Gaza Strip has been delivered to Hamas, an official from the militant group told Sky News on Tuesday.

Additionally, the official revealed that Hamas warned mediators that it will not support attempts by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to "manipulate the negotiations to gain more time to implement his plans, especially a war of starvation against the Palestinian people, and that the negotiation process will not have unlimited time."

Previously, senior Hamas representative in Lebanon Osama Hamdan stated that the temporary ceasefire proposal, disclosed by the United States, does not comply with the group's requirements.
