British Defense Ministry stated on Saturday that "the conflict in Ukraine is taking a heavy toll on some of Russia’s most capable units and most advanced capabilities." It estimated that it will take "considerable time and expense for Russia to reconstitute its armed forces" and especially its advanced equipment due to the sanctions that limit Russia's access to microelectronic components.
The ministry claimed that at least one of Russia's most advanced tanks, the T-90M, has been destroyed in the conflict so far. According to British data, Russia has around 100 of these tanks currently in service amongst its "best-equipped units, including those fighting in Ukraine."
