Hamas deputy chief in Gaza Khalil al-Hayya (pictured center) confirmed receiving an official response regarding ceasefire talks in the early hours on Saturday.

Without going into more detail, A-Hayya stated that the group will review the proposal before providing a reply.

Hamas presented the proposal to Egyptian and Qatari mediators on April 13.
