Hamas: Netanyahu responsible for ceasefire failure

Hamas said on Wednesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "fully responsible" for the failure of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, stressing that he made "a premeditated decision" to resume the war.

"Any attempt by Netanyahu to recover hostages by force will result in their return in coffins," the Palestinian militant group said in a statement, accusing the Israeli prime minister of lying to hostages' families when he claims that a military operation is the only path to bring the captives back alive.

Hamas also urged the international community and mediators to put more pressure on Netanyahu to "halt the aggression and return to the path of negotiation."
