United States Vice President Kamala Harris formally accepted the Democratic Party's nomination for president "in the greatest nation" on the final day of the Democratic National Convention.
She accepted the nomination "on behalf of the people" and "anyone who has ever set out on their own unlikely journey," pointing to the very start of her speech when she mentioned that "the path" that led her to the nomination "was no doubt unexpected."
She vowed to be a "president for all Americans" as she called for the country to move forward "not as members of any one party or faction, but as Americans."
