Harris sees Sinwar's killing as chance for ceasefire

United States Vice President Kamala Harris told reporters that the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar opens a chance for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. She emphasized the need to capitalize on this moment to end the war and secure the release of hostages.

"It has never been easy. But that doesn't mean we give up," she stressed.

Sinwar was accused of masterminding the October 7 attack on Israel.
