Salesforce said to be nearing $8B deal with Informatica

Salesforce, Inc. is close to finalizing a deal to acquire software development company Informatica, Inc. for approximately $8 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

According to the report, the deal is set to be announced later today, with Salesforce expected to pay $25 per share to buy Informatica. The two companies reportedly restarted their negotiations this year after their initial talks in 2024, which valued the company at around $10 billion, fell through.

The Californian cloud-based software company also recently signed a definitive agreement to acquire Convergence.ai to boost AI agent production.
