United States Vice President Kamala Harris warned on Saturday about the importance of what she described as "the fight for freedom" as "our gains are not permanent."
"We must be vigilant. We must continue to stand together to celebrate and teach our history, defend our freedom, and fight for the promise of America," Harris wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Harris's tweet came shortly before former President and Republican presumptive nominee in the 2024 election Donald Trump's speech in Washington DC.
