United States National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett told Fox News on Wednesday that the gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the US in the first quarter of 2025 is expected to be between 2% and 2.5%.

"The economic news we've been seeing is really wonderful. It's way above the expectations of economists ... 10,000 manufacturing jobs, 9,000 auto jobs. And then you see the inflation number today. The lowest core inflation in four years," he commented.

Hassett added that it is evident that US President Donald Trump's policies are "working already," with business leaders "saying that the economy is looking very very solid right now."
