Hazard retires from international football

Eden Hazard announced his retirement from international football on Wednesday at the age of 31. The Real Madrid star gained 126 caps and scored 36 goals for Belgium, which was eliminated in this year's World Cup group stage.

Hazard posted a message on his Instagram account after the announcement: "Thank you for your unparalleled support. Thank you for all the joyful moments we have shared since 2008."

The football ace started his international football career at the age of 17 and captained Belgium 56 times.
