Herzog backs Biden's captive-exchange proposal

Israeli President Isaac Herzog strongly supported United States President Joe Biden's proposed captive exchange deal.

He thanked the US president, who announced the plan for a Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange on Friday.

The plan, detailed by Biden, involves a ceasefire, exchanging Israeli captives for Palestinian prisoners, Israel's withdrawal from Gaza and a reconstruction initiative.
