Israeli President Isaac Herzog said on Thursday that South Africa's case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which accuses it of carrying genocide in the Gaza Strip, is "outrageous."
During his appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Herzog accused South Africa of "supporting" the "atrocities" and "barbarism" seen on October 7, stressing that South Africa is playing a "dangerous game of hypocrisy."
The Israeli president called upon the international community to reject the case at the ICJ underscoring that South Africa used a convention against genocide which was enacted following the "worst atrocity of humankind," referring to the holocaust of the Jewish people during World War II.
