Israeli President Isaac Herzog said on Sunday that "there is a sense of disappointment in Israel" after the United Kingdom's government decided to suspend some licenses for weapons sales to Israel.

Israel and the UK have "outstanding relations," Herzog said in an interview with Sky News. "But we also have to understand that between friends, we expect friends and allies to be there for us all at all the time, as we are for them," he stressed.

Herzog added that Israel expects that all its allies to "be side by side with us in combating this terrible situation."
