Honda Motor Co., Ltd. is planning to introduce a new electric vehicle model, which is intended to cost less than $30,000, in the United States market by 2026, Japanese news agency Nikkei reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, the automaker's objective is to attract new consumers after US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to put an end to the EV promotion policies implemented by his predecessor, Joe Biden.
Meanwhile, Honda announced that it plans to build a production facility for electric motorcycles in India to consolidate its position in the South Asian market.
