A Saudi coalition fighter jet crashed down in a Houthi-controlled part of Yemen after being hit by the rebels' air defense forces, Houthi's Saba news agency reported on Sunday. The aircraft was allegedly shot down over the Saada province, while the report described the plane as British-made Tornado.
At the same time, Saudi-owned TV channel Al-Arabiya confirmed that the jet crashed in a Houthi-controlled area, but claimed that the plane crash was, in fact, an accident caused by a technical malfunction, adding that both pilots of the jet survived the incident and were rescued in a special operation.
