Yemen's Houthis leader Abdul-Malik warned Thursday that the military organization is seeking to expand its operations against international vessels in the Indian Ocean.
In a video speech, Malik reaffirmed the group's objective to continue carrying on with strikes in the aforementioned ocean, besides the Red Sea as long as Israel persists in "war and siege on the Gaza Strip.” He claimed that the rate of targeting Israel-linked ships increased to one vessel every two days, impacting 102 Israeli vessels while causing damage worth $50 million to US ships.
He stated that a longer-lasting conflict in Gaza will have an impact on the economic situation of "the enemies."
