Houthis: Israel will face more 'painful strikes'

Yemen's Houthi Defense Minister Mohamed Nasser al-Atifi warned on Sunday that the rebel group is preparing to launch new "painful strikes" on Israel in support to the Palestinian people in Gaza.

"We are working to continue directing painful strikes deep inside the Zionist enemy forces," the official said in a statement. "We are living in a phase of open, sensitive and long-term war, and we are taking all possibilities of confrontation into consideration," he added.

Earlier in September, Houthi rebels claimed they attacked Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile, while the Israeli military stressed that the missile "likely fragmented" midair.
