Houthi rebels announced on Friday that the group will only focus its retaliation on "the security and stability" of the United States and the United Kingdom, in response to the "unjustified" airstrikes conducted by these two nations in Yemen.

"The strikes on Yemen, from our point of view, are a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty and a serious aggression against the Yemeni people...America guards 'israel' and not the world. We are committed to the security and stability of the region, our response will target only the American and the British," the group's spokesman Mohammed Abdul-Salam (pictured) posted on Telegram.

Additionally, the Houthis emphasized that their actions targeting ships in the Red Sea have not resulted in any human or significant material losses.
