Hoyer says House can override Trump NDAA veto

United States House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer asserted on Friday that the lower chamber of Congress has enough votes to override President Donald Trump's potential veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Trump previously threatened to block the NDAA if the termination of the Communications Decency Act's Section 230 is not included in the funding legislation.

Hoyer earlier expressed optimism that the bill, alongside COVID-19 relief and government funding, could be passed next week.
