Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.'s Rotating Chairman Ken Hu stated that the company will finish the year with a 9% increase in revenue when compared to 2022, Nikkei Asia reported.
The revenue is expected to reach more than 700 billion yuan ($98 billion) at the end of 2023, despite the company being blacklisted as a national security risk in 2019 by the United States. The US also increased its supervision over Huawei's exports in 2020, to which China reacted by prohibiting the use of iPhones in government affiliates and introducing export controls on graphite and rare earth technologies. Huawei stated that its biggest achiever was its device business, which they claimed "surpassed expectations." Hu also touched upon Huawei's electric vehicles, stating they are "significantly more competitive."
The company added that its information technology infrastructure (ICT) business remained steadfast in 2023.
