Huawei to narrow focus areas due to its 'limited power' - CEO

Huawei Technologies founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei (pictured) stated on Sunday that the company has to "seize opportunities in the areas where we can" instead of trying to "do everything," adding that the Chinese tech giant can't follow Alibaba and Amazon's footsteps as it doesn't "have 'endless money' from the US stock market like them."

In a letter to employees, Ren stressed that Huawei is a "company with limited power" and it needs to "fine-tune the projects we are going to do."

"Huawei's advantage lies in hardware. We must strengthen the software and application ecosystem and should not give up the advantages that hardware brings to Huawei Cloud," he underscored
