IAEA seeks deal with Kiev, Moscow on nuclear plant safety

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi (pictured center) is "trying" to seek a deal with Moscow and Kiev regarding the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant safety, the AFP reported Wednesday.

The chief of the international atomic watchdog was today in the Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station as part of efforts to prevent atomic incidents.

Yesterday, the Advisor to the General Director of Rosenergoatom Group, Renat Karchaa said that Russia is "open to discussing the situation at the plant" while Grossi was in Kiev and had a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
