The International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague issued a statement on Friday, declaring its refusal to accept South Africa's recent appeal concerning Israel's extension of military operations in Rafah.
"The Court notes that the most recent developments in the Gaza Strip, and in Rafah in particular...does not demand the indication of additional provisional measures," the ruling said.
South Africa expressed concerns that Israel's offensive in Rafah could potentially result in the violation of Palestinian rights in Gaza, as well as the Genocide Convention and the Court's Order from January 26, 2024.
