IDF kills Hezbollah commander in charge of arms transport

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday in a post on X that a Hezbollah commander, going by the name of Muhammad Ja'far Qasir, was eliminated.

The IDF accused Qasir of being in charge of transporting weapons from Iran to Lebanon. The Hezbollah commander was killed during one of Israel's airstrikes on Beirut.

The Israeli army also claimed Qasir was transferring "hundreds of millions of dollars each year" from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Islamic Jihad claims attack on Israeli troops in Khan Younis
An armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), the Al-Quds Brigades, claimed the attack on Israeli forces in Gaza's Khan Younis. The group said its members detonated an explosive device against Israeli troops and fired mortar shells at them in the southern Gaza Strip. The attack led Israeli forces to issue a "final" evacuation warning for the city.
