Intel Corporation reported net revenue of $18.4 billion in the first trimester of 2022, decreasing 7% compared to the same period last year.
Diluted earnings per share (EPS) were $1.98 increasing by 141% year on year. The reported net income jumped by 138% to $8.1 billion.
"Intel delivered strong first-quarter financial results, and we are reaffirming our full-year revenue guidance," said Intel CFO David Zinsner, noting that the company will stay committed to the financial framework and will focus on "both growth and profitability."
Intel shares were down 2.15% in after-hours trading after the release of the earnings report.
