IDF says missiles fired from Iran

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that sirens went off in Israel after Iran launched missiles "a short while ago."

"Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat," the IDF said, before a ceasefire announced by United States President Donald Trump is expected to come into effect. The missile launch also came after Iran signaled that hostilities with Israel had stopped.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said earlier that Tehran would halt its response if Israel stops its attacks by 4 am local time. There have been no reports of Israeli attacks past that deadline. Araghchi also denied that a ceasefire deal had been reached, contradicting United States President Donald Trump's announcement.
