The figure for infections from COVID-19 registered daily in India reached another record-high for the third day in a row on Friday, coming in at 386,452 and taking the count of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic to 18,762,976.
On the other hand, the number of deaths observed in the period of 24 hours declined slightly in comparison to the day before, standing at 3,498. The overall count of fatalities linked to coronavirus in India now stands at 208,330.
Meanwhile, 152,245,179 people have been vaccinated against the disease so far, 2,224,548 of them in the past 24 hours.
