Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) extended a congratulatory phone call on Wednesday to US President-elect Donald Trump, following his victory at the polls.
The prince expressed the Kingdom's desire to deepen the long-standing strategic ties between Saudi Arabia and the US, voicing hopes for "progress and prosperity" for the US people under Trump's leadership. According to the statement from the Saudi government, Trump expressed appreciation for the congratulations and acknowledged the positive sentiments.
Back in 2017, Trump visited Saudi Arabia on his first official international tour as president.
