Intel jumps over 7% in premarket on Nvidia, Broadcom news

The shares of Intel Corporation popped over 7% in the premarket on Monday following the report about a potential collaboration with Nvidia Corporation and Broadcom Inc.

Sources told Reuters that Nvidia and Broadcom were conducting manufacturing tests on Intel's 18A node to see if they would be investing millions into the latter. The firm's 18A process is a set of technologies aimed at creating advanced artificial intelligence semiconductors, among other chips.

The company's stock surged 7.33% at 6:09 am ET, going for $25.47 apiece.
