Altimeter Capital Chair and CEO Brad Gerstner has recently told Meta that the company has too many workers while at the same time adding that the firm is going very slow in retaining investors' confidence, CNBC reported Monday, citing a letter sent by the investor.
"Meta needs to re-build confidence with investors, employees, and the tech community in order to attract, inspire and retain the best people in the world," the Meta investor said. "In short, Meta needs to get fit and focused."
"In addition, people are confused by what the metaverse even means," Gerstner added. "If the company were investing $1–2B per year into this project, then that confusion might not even be a problem."
