Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will pay an official visit to China on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday, without disclosing details of the trip.
Araghchi previously noted that Iran is ready to expand trilateral talks with China and Russia after the three countries started talks on Tehran's nuclear program, emphasizing that the three sides can significantly contribute to international peace.
Araghchi's trip to China follows the second round of indirect nuclear talks between the United States and Iran in Rome, which were described as "constructive" and "relatively positive." The minister said in a statement after the negotiations that both parties "managed to reach a better understanding on a number of principles and goals."
