Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Wednesday said that after Hamas accepted the latest ceasefire proposal, the outcome of the negotiations depends on the Western countries and their willingness to fulfill the promise of bringing the Gaza war to an end.
"Everything is ready for a permanent ceasefire and a settlement of the issue if the Americans and the Westerners uphold their promise about the ceasefire in a true sense of the word," Iran's top diplomat told reporters.
Furthermore, Amir-Abdollahian accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of obstructing ceasefire negotiations in order to avoid a political crisis in the country.
