Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said on Sunday that his country "strongly" condemns the "extensive military aggression" of the Israeli forces against Lebanon and Syria, as well the "escalation of genocide" in Gaza and the West Bank.

Baghei said that Israel's attacks represent a "real threat to international peace and security" and stated that the country's "escalation" of military attacks against various regions of Lebanon in the past three days is a "clear sign of the occupation regime's rebellion and its disregard for all international legal principles and norms."

The spokesperson urged the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to "take immediate and effective action to stop these aggressions."
