Iran never resumed nuclear weapons program - CIA

Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns stated that Iran never resumed its nuclear weapons program contrary to Washington's claims.

"Our best intelligence judgment is that the Iranians have not resumed the weaponization effort that they had underway up until 2004 and then suspended, so that's something, obviously we at CIA and across the US intelligence community keep a very, very sharp focus on," said Burns at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado.

Previously, US President Joe Biden warned that the country would use military force to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, emphasizing that "the only thing worse than the Iran that exists now is an Iran with nuclear weapons."
