Iran's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi told his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Monday that Tehran does not seek further escalation of the conflict with Israel and is ready to work with Beijing to reduce tensions in the region, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
The two officials discussed the current situation in the Middle East over the phone, with Araghchi stating that his country wants to strengthen "coordination and communication" with China as a part of efforts to defuse tensions through diplomacy.
