Iran repels massive cyberattack on infrstructure

Iran managed to fight off a major cyberattack on its infrastructure over the weekend, Behzad Akbari, the head of the country's Telecommunication Infrastructure Company and deputy minister for Information and Communications Technology, said on Monday.

"By God's grace and the efforts of the security and technical teams of the Telecommunication Infrastructure Company and the Ministry of Communications, yesterday, one of the most widespread and complex cyber attacks against the country's infrastructure was identified and preventive measures were taken," Behzari said in a post on X.

No further details on the attempted attack have been disclosed yet.
