Iran is preparing to retaliate against Israel following recent airstrikes on Iranian military targets, senior adviser to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ali Larijani told Tasnim news agency on Sunday. This comes after Israeli fighter jets launched three waves of attacks on October 26, in response to a missile barrage fired by Iran at Israel earlier in the month.

In the interview published, Larijani also addressed Lebanon's political situation, stating there was no serious discussion about excluding Hezbollah from government affairs. He emphasized Hezbollah's critical role in Lebanon's political framework, noting that Lebanese officials are fully aware of the importance of the group

On US-Iran relations, Larijani commented on potential changes under a future Trump administration, critiquing the previous administration's policies. He suggested that if Washington continues its former approach, it risks further decline in the region, but a shift in strategy could better align with US national interests.
