The Iranian mission to the United Nations said on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has "hijacked" the United States' foreign policy after the US joined Israel's strikes on Iran. "America has, once more, recklessly chosen to sacrifice its own security merely to safeguard Netanyahu," it added, claiming that Israel and the US "destroyed diplomacy" and accusing them of using the pretence of nuclear deal negotiations as a "deceitful ploy."
The mission warned that the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Israeli regime, and the International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi will "bear full responsibility" for the death of civilians and the destruction of vital civilian infrastructure in Iran.
