Iran: Our armed forces can challenge US

The Iranian Minister of Intelligence Hojjatoleslam Esmail Khatib told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Thursday that "the capability and authority of our army and armed forces are known in the world and have challenged the great powers and the United States."

Describing the Iranian armed forces, Khatib called them incomparable to the army before the revolution and reflected on the military formations of the region as a display of strength and authority. He stressed that the military should be in service of the people and not in front of them, citing that "today's army is a school of thought."
