Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Friday called for a stop to "the war on Gaza before it's too late."
"Progress of the Washington and Tel Aviv war means new genocide in Gaza and West Bank," he wrote on social media, adding that the United States and Israel are seemingly unaware of "severe consequences" the latest escalation could bring.
The Iranian official again noted that an "open-ended ceasefire," more humanitarian assistance to the region and more exchanges of prisoners are the only solutions to the crisis.
