The office of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani (pictured) slammed on Wednesday airstrikes carried out by the United States on Iraqi territory. The statement accused the US of acting "in a clear determination to harm security and stability in Iraq" and described the attack as an "unacceptable act [that] undermines years of cooperation, blatantly violates Iraq's sovereignty, and contributes to an irresponsible escalation."
The prime minister's office called on the international community to prevent the violations of Iraq's stability and sovereignty. "We will treat these operations as acts of aggression and take necessary actions to preserve the lives and dignity of Iraqis on their land," the statement said.
