The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on southern Israel, including the city of Sderot.
"Al-Quds Brigades: Together with the forces of Omar al-Qassem, we carried out rocket attacks on Sderot and the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip in response to the crimes of the Zionist enemy against our people," the group said in a statement on Telegram.
Meanwhile, Sderot's authorities stated that some of the rockets launched from Gaza were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, ensuring that the attack caused no casualties.
