Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said on Monday that the recent withdrawal of the country's Minister without Portfolio Benny Gantz from the war cabinet represents a "great opportunity" for Israel's victory in the war against Hamas.

"Whoever demands to bomb Gaza and stop the entry of Palestinian workers should be a member of the war cabinet. This is a great opportunity to step up and bring victory," the minister noted during the Religious Zionist Party faction meeting.

Meanwhile, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that he thinks that Gantz's resignation "will allow us to act in a much more decisive and determined manner against the Palestinian Authority, which is behind the campaign of persecution at the International Court of Justice in The Hague."
