Israel's Lapid denounces Ben-Gvir's Al-Aqsa Mosque 'campaign'

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid (pictured) denounced on Tuesday National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's "campaign" at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a post on X, he underlined that the action "endangers the lives of Israeli citizens." "This group of irresponsible extremists in the government is actively trying to drag Israel into a full-scale regional war. These people are unfit to govern a country," Lapid stressed.

Ben-Gvir allegedly led hundreds of Israelis into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, to perform prayers and celebrate a Jewish holiday.
