Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich (pictured) hailed on Monday the Bat Yam Labor Court's order for the general strikes across the country to be halted by 2:30 pm local time.

"The court accepted our position and determined that the Histadrut's [the General Organization of Workers in Israel] strike was political and illegal," he wrote in a post on X.

Previously, Haaretz reported that three individuals were arrested during the protest, which erupted over the lack of a ceasefire agreement and hostage releases.
